Reynen Client / Server Mod 2.0 BETA 6b RELEASE

Download FLMM Version 9.1 MB ----- Readme.txt --- Timestamp: : 12:25 PM 5/22/2003

Download RAR Version 6.4 MB ----- Readme.txt --- Timestamp: : 12:50 PM 5/22/2003


Look for Reynen's Mod Server 206b (12.252.29.222)

If the above .zip.flmod files do not install then you will have to download the rar and install the file manually.

Simply create a folder named Reynenmod206b in your mods folder in your FLMM DIR.
Ex. C:\program files\freelancer mod manager\mods\Reynenmod206b
Put all the files from the rar in that directory. Run FLMM activate and your good to go.

The website is also now up and updated.

Reynen Client / Server Mod Website

Unzipped The mod is about 30 MB and I HIGHLY recommend NOT running any other mods with it

This mod changes about 350 files.

Please see the readme for complete details, this mod is HUGE and completely revampes the Freelancer universe!

- Reduced missile ammo cost
- Fixed Cruiser power supply
- Fixed Gunboat power supply
- Fixed bug with cargo train
- Fixed mounts on Hammerhead
- Fixed Dortmond docking ring
- Increased avenger gun damage
- Fixed Battleship power supply
- Fixed dragon hardpoint problem
- Kusari has more ships for sale
- Fixed dragon ship power supply
- Increased % chance on loot drop
- Fixed all TIE hardpoint problems
- Reduced damage on normad torpedo
- Bretonia has more ships for sale
- Added Cmdr. Hall's TIE wav sounds
- Rheinland has more ships for sale
- Added docking ring to Mactan base
- Fixed all freighters power supply
- Added docking ring to BS Westfalen
- Fixed left over ship equipment bug
- Nomad gunboat will now use a thruster
- Added docking ring to benford station
- Fixed bug with freeport 2 docking ring

- Changed astroids files so that you now fly through them
- Removed ship vendor from stations that were not selling ships
- Added Bob's encounters to the liberty system, be careful when engaging!
- Finally fixed gunboat, cruiser, and battleship cargo problem! (thanks Vichama)
- Trent, Juni and King are sporting new looks, edit costumes.ini if you want to change outfits

Update May 21th

- Modified TIE encounters in manhattan, you will start neutral to them
- Fixed CRC problems

KNOWN BUGS / ISSUES

- When sometimes buying a ship you will crash to desktop
- If a station is destroyed with a player in it, the server will crash.
- Freelancer will crash if you try and run without the mod and have moded save-games

AGENDA FOR BETA 7

I think of redoing a compeltely new mod I am just going to modify all the values in this one to what people want. I am going to covert everything to be in sync with the original freelancer, this will take time though.

Majority of things I need to change are:

Weapons
Shields
Thrusters
Ship HP

So basically when I get done this will look more like an expansion pack then a mod, but again THIS WILL TAKE TIME.

I'm also creating stuff for Bob and Rob to do so they can help add stuff to the mod, but planning all that out is not that easy.

I will also "try" and add the starwars and bab5 ships, but that will make the release even longer, I might leave that for 8.

When I try to install the FLMM version of beta 6 I get this error:
Error: unable to extract a file from mod archive 'Reynenmod206'. File possibly corrupt.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Btw...a reminder...your (and mine too) char(s) on bitch´s server will be deleted because of reasons stated in the changelog for beta 6.

I first test download the flmm version also and get same msg.

then i also test the *.rar version.
when i extract that i got 'Reynenmod206.rar: CRC failed in data\Interface\Intro\Images\startupscreen_16.bmp. The file is corrupt'

Hope a fix is ready soon.

So i can update my server.

Hi all, it is the startupscreen 16 bmp, that is corrupt, I just deleted that from the 206 rar and replaced it with the one from 205b and it works fine, I just found out that I had 4 super fighter shields and 2 super freighter shields, that I could not see in my hold....

well done reynen again....

hm... on top of the corrupt flmod file im getting

i got a bug with defender. (fogot filename) it stops with installing in the middle, must be a minor bug plz fix it soon i wanna play the mod, it must rock!

got it fixed, heres what i did:
you'll need winrar, and both the .zip.hlmod and the .rar version of the mod.
open both the .zip.flmod and the .rar, get the .rar version to display interface/intro remove the 16.bmp and replace it with the .zip.flmod version.

do the same the other way around, this time with data/ships/defender. good luck

Problem Solved.

File on Reynens Website has a corrupt Dragon.cmp
File on Lancers Reactor has a corrupt Defender.cmp

The rest of the files are fine. Dunno where this bmp problem is.


Also, the ship listing in the readme is wrong. I've only seen this error so far but there may be more. The purchasable ship listings for Battleship Norfolk and York are the wrong way around.

Keep up the good work Reynen. best Mod around.

Man I am not sure why you all are getting CRC errors, I tried the files myself and they worked just fine.

I will upload new versions.

I had the same problem with the defender.cmp file also, i solved it by using the one from beta 0.5 and copying it into the mod. by the way great mod reynen

Ok just finished uploading the new files. Let me know how they work. I really don't know why they were giving that error. I deleted mine from FLMM and reinstalled using my .flmod and it worked just fine.

i dont know **** about modding or fixing mods, i just downloaded the BETA 6, and i am getting a Problem activating 'Reynen's Mod 2.0 BETA g6'
how do i fix this (an easy way, cos i read thru previous posts and its all gibberish to me)
any help will be greatly appreciated

I just tried a new compression method which cut the .zip.flmod size in half. Try it now. It will be finished uploading in about a minute.

I think the size of the file is the problem cause alot of people aren't having prblems with the rar file.

I also think FLMM is not really able to handle the size of my mod. Like I said it's 350 files and it may just have to hard of a time with installing all of that.
