found these lines in misc_equip.ini
according to that, u need over 1000 nanobots to fully repair 700k hull, not just 50 (which was a wild guess i made)
and about 30 batteries to regenerate 10k shield

It's easy enough to modify how much they both repair, just change the number.

By the way, nice work. I'll give it a try, when I have some time, I've been busy modding myself. It's funny how we end up spending more time modding than playing sometimes. lol

Not available for download yet. This is a pre-release of information so I can gather comments before I release the final product.

I will change the amount of the shield an hull recharge. Not sure offhand what would be a good value. I'm tempted to say 10K each. That way it would take roughly 50 for each shield recharge (2x) and 70 for a complete hull recharge and you could do an additional 300K recharge to hull afterwards.

I don't want these being able to keep someone alive forver, plus I don't want to make then too high so that one can replensh the entire damage done by a fighter per volly. These are just meant to give you a little extra edge in battle.

The coding is not that difficult. After I make a set of changes I am testing them very carefully to watch for any abnormalities. I don't want to release this thing until I feel confident very few people will have any problems at all with it.

I am paying careful attention to the battleships since they seem to be buggy for some people.

If possible, create different types of shield battery and nanobot for different classes of ship. Each types does different amount of repair, and of course they have different prices.

Yeah I can make different bots for the three classes of ships. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Update:

Ok I've managed to dock at jsut about every station, but now planets wont let me land saying "they do not service a ship my size" LOL.

Thanks goes to Cap Kazo for the mooring trick that helped alot.

I think I am going to do this in the following stages.

Fighters & weapons + ground work - 1st Stage

Freighters & weapons - Second Stage

Battleships & weapons - Third Stage - Hopefully by then we'll have some more docking solutions.

Adding new systems & encounters - Fourth Stage

I'll release a beta for people to try out at the end of each stage.

Stage 1 shouldn't be much longer.

Bump, almost finished. I am making this compatible with IGx89 mod manager so people wont have a hard time using it

Wow! This looks really awesome! This is gonna be a must download for me! Great ideas man!

I only have once complaint... What about the light fighters?! Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything on them. Are they gone from the game? I was hoping I could pilot the Drake in your mod. I looove that ship!

Well I have compeltely redone the way the ships work, even modified each of teh CMP and added new hardpoints to the ships

The Eagle will move faster and better then the star tracker and the Titan..
Well the Eagle will be able to do circle around the titan, but the Titan will be able to take alot of punishment were the Eagle has toilet paper for armor hehe.

The tougher they are the slower they go. Change your ships ini and modify with the values above to see how each ship will fly. I will be making the freighters and battleships a bit slower then they are now though. So increase freighters drag by 5K each and the drag for battleship by 10K each and you will see the new settings.

I will TRY and make this compatible with all the other mod loaders coming out, but it is going to take time. I either have time to make the mods or make them compatible for every loader on the planet...but not both.

UPDATE - The mod will be delayed thanks to wabbiks new mod loader deleteing my entire FL directory along with all my mods! I have a backup but it's an older one so I have to redo alot and figure out where it left off.

Here is a screenshot of the new eagle.

I am switching the Eagle and Defender places on the charts. The eagle will be the most rounded. Here's a pic. Anyone know a good base where I can model and get a SS of my ships?

This is what is currently loaded
9 beams
2 missiles
3 torpedos
Mine / Countermeasure



Here are where the weapons are

3 on each wing (6)
3 on front
2 Missiles in middle rear
Torpedos are underneath.
