Permanent runtime?

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Permanent runtime?

I have a question: To save stats on my server like account datas etc, do i have to run the server all time? i mean: will the server data be deleted if i shutdown the server or will it be saved in some way?

I've seen the suns of thousand worlds
I've ruled many populations
I've destroyed several planets
I've guarded the entire universe

.
.
.

and then i turn the computer off

It should be fine . The player files update to save whenever they dock/undock/jump/enter/exit a system/server! - also when they die too

Basically - as long as the players have logged on/off and actually moved/ done something - then their files will save automatically. Ask players to log off before shutting down a server though - as it will save their position (or they can dock).
