hackers on the servers

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

hackers on the servers

what is with this hacker problem on our servers now!? it is getting way out of control. why do people enjoy doing this stuff if it just ruins peoples computers. i and several people i know have a block that moniters everything that goes in and out of the global server even small attached presents and parasites. i reccomend getting it because hackers have been recorded on every used server. not all r active and r just there for fun sometimes but it is still not tolerable. i have already reported 8 hackers to administrators and i will not hesitate to report anymore. i have also had news that some i reported have faced criminal charges and could be fined or jailed. so take that hackers!

If you have concerns about servers, you should post on the server forum. Not here. This comes across as more of a rant than giving or seeking info. Check it out, maybe you can find some answers. If it is you server, deal with them rather than ranting about it.

Newbes should be careful too. You should also check the FAQ before posting too. Chips on shoulders don't work either.

this hacker thing is a serious matter not to be joked around with. if i had it my way hackers should be arrested for vandilism and such.

Get good working with your server and some of the tips in the server forum, and you can stop a lot of the hackers. If you have the software to detect IP's, ban them.

Mgari, you now have a Chips on your shoulder.....

Please refrain from making mutliple threads, also please refer to the forums rules. Above all - show some etiquette on these forums. You are starting your own tirade against pirates, but I am affraid that you are missing some vital points here.

1) Its up to server administrators to make and enforce the rules. IF you don't like the pirates, go to another server. Simple, do NOT try and "petition" admins to make changes, as you may not like the response.

2) This is the wrong forum for MP issues - please use the clearly labelled forum for these posts....MP forums to discuss MP issues, and for server issuse - the server forum.

3) Many servers DO allow pirates to be active, although they usually designate some "safe" zones - such as New York etc. This is because some roleplay and clan interaction BUILDS character on servers, as well as makes it more fun. Whilst you moan, simply put - find another trade route - there are LOTS of VERY profitable ones..........

4) You have made STACKS of posts of little or no content. This is considered spam, and a few have been removed.

5) Be respectful towards Finalday - he pointed you in the right direction, especially since you have had an air about being important. Everyone is equal here, so don't get cute with other members "buddy".

Thankyou

By the way, I have moved some of your threads, and deleted others. See spoilers and multiplayer forums

Do we have a problem? Looks like this has been resolved in the other thread. But my spidey senses were going off there for a second.

Moving to server thread.

When you guys say "hacker" are you reffering to people that actually hack into the server and alter file/install viruses, or are you reffering to standard noob cheaters?

Post Mon Apr 12, 2004 11:27 pm

I think they are talking about actual "Hackers, Crackers, etc etc" Port bomber's, Port killers, Nukers....etc etc.

Several of the servers have complained of being hacked lately....though an experienced person having dealt with one or having used to been one would know the difference between a hack, a crack, or someone messing around with files too much by modding them.

In short, if you are online, then you have already accepted the risk of your computer being hacked.....and if you have not accepted it, don't come onto the internet.
