If all you want to do is change the starting money then you can also edit the

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\mpnewcharacter.fl

file with notepad or wordpad and change the line
money = %%MONEY%%
to
money = 25000

or whatever you want the starting money to be.

Bah - go to data\characters\newcharacter.ini file and open it. This is where that newplayer.fl file gets its info from

Package = ge_fighter ;see package above, you can change this by creating more packages
Pilot = trent

however - rep_group is not so simple to change - it doesn't work that way.....you have to do that via the newplayer.fl file instead, and change it there

I just got a question. How and where do you got to change all this stuff? I tried going under program files/microsoft game/freelancer and opening the data folder with ships and stuff like that, but it is blanck. How do I do it?
