Backup your server?

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Backup your server?

I run a server on my local LAN, friend's come over, we play together, it's great fun.

However I want to know how to backup my server data so in the event of a system meltdown of sorts, I can restore it to with at least semi-current data. Maybe every week I'll back it up or something. But first I need to know how this can be done.

Thanks!

Just make a zip or rar file from your entire Multiplayer folder. Not only does that backup all character accounts, but it also saves your server setup information and MOTD's.

Excellent, thanks for the help.

Is there anything in the "My Documents\My Games\Freelancer" folder that I should worry about at all?

if you want to save your key settings, the userpref file is also recommended to save. But that is only for your use, it does nothing for everyone else.
