MOD ON OWN SERVER

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

how can i runa server that can accept mods
mods for my own game and for my buds computer so we can play both
on there with our mods
cos i dont know how

If you're talking about being kicked from your own server for using mods, you need to re-install freelancer to reverse the effects of the 1.1 patch.

cool thnx so i can not use patch 1.1
but how do i make mods work on my serv
cos i cant get on my own server with mods
i want my friends to be able to join my serv too with same mods as i so i can play private with him with fun mods
short how can i allow mods on my own serv

i think u can run the patch "if" u add the mod u want to use to the server first, then install the patch, u will also need to install the mod on all clients, otherwise it could crash, A LOT

same way as u add the mod to your pute, with flmm,

example
1. download and install flmm, on the server
2. download rebalance and install through flmm, on the server
3. install ms patch, on the server
4. run flserver.exe

5. install flmm on client
6. install rebalance on client
7. play the game

note, all players must be running the same mod as the server, otherwise it WILL crash, usually putting somthing in the server news, or on your website to let players know which mod to install is a good idea, good luck

the patch is primerely a server patch

the patch is that the 1.1 version for freelancer or another , if other were can i find it

no its the ms patch 1.1,but altho it says 1.1 it does NOT change the version number, tho a number of the larger mods do, for example tng turns the version number to 1.70

thats up 2 you, have a look in the downloads section, we dont run mods anymore, due to them crashing if a unmodded person joins, tho i can recomend rebalance and hostile universe, also victors is supposed to be good, tho i havent tried it myself
