Other Freelancer servers both modded and clean

We have a beginning of what we think will be an absolutely awesome FL server. The server has been up and running for a few days now and by this weekend the Evolutions mod should be installed as well. It is located in New Zealand and some of the guys locally have been achieving absolutely incredible pings like 50-60.

We are friendly, hard-core long time Freelancers most of us love to RP and have worked hard on setting up a server that will be newb friendly, fun and challenging for the old timers.

Roleplaying Rules:

Roleplaying or not is a choice every player is entitled to make for himself when he creates his character. If you choose to roleplay you need to create a tagged character.

Tagged Characters

Create an occupation or a clan tagged character.

The following or any other occupation tags can be used as well as any clan tag decided upon by your clan. If you are using some other occupation tag report it to the admin so it can be added here.

All occupation tags will be sorted into one of the following tag categories.

Law Abiding Tags (examples)
[TR = Trader
[MN = Miner
[SS = Secret Service Agent
[PA = Police Agent
[BM = Businessman
[PT = Politician

Inconclusive Tags (examples)
[BH = Bounty Hunter
[SF = Soldier of Fortune
[MR = Mercenary
[CS = Crime Syndicate Member

Criminal Tags (examples)
[SC = Small Criminal
[SM = Smuggler
[PR = Pirate
[SK = Serial Killer
[AS = Assassin

A clan tag is determined by the clan.

All clans are reqired to declare themselves as a clan belonging to one of the above tag categories. They must also state an occupation of the clan. Multiple occupations allowed. Maximum 2.

Characters wearing Criminal or Inconclusive tags aren’t allowed to engage anyone under level 20 inside the original FL version systems. Expanded systems are an adventure. Enter at your own risk regardless of your level.

All Characters wearing Law abiding tags can engage anyone with a Criminal tag any time anywhere regardless of their level. Except in New York.

All characters wearing inconclusive tags can be engaged by all other taged characters if provocation is given.

All allowable engagement is subject to player interaction. If someone submits it isn’t advisable to kill them. Set your loot or fines at a reasonable level or you will never get paid. We suggest maximum 300k for fighters and 800k for freighters.

All Characters wearing Law-abiding tags are asked to be of assistance to all new characters wearing Law-abiding tags and all non-tagged new characters.

Characters wearing Criminal tags can help new characters wearing Criminal tags if they wish to do so.

No one helps new characters with Inconclusive tags. Everyone is suspicious of them.

Tag-less Freelancer Characters

Tag-less Freelancers can engage in RP activities only if they team up with one or more tagged characters. When doing so they accept the full RP consequences of such actions.

Single tag-less Freelancers when not in a group with tagged characters can only do missions, trade, mine or duel with others if they both agree. Untagged players could also join groups with traders so they can act as escorts for a fee.

Tag-less Freelancers can ask Law-abiding tagged characters for backup anytime

Tag-less Freelancers, regrdless of their level, with any contraband in their holds are considered smugglers and can be engaged by Law abiding tagged characters.

Contraband items are as follows:
Cardinmine
Artefacts
Slaves
Child slaves
Assins
Refugees
Absynth
Tobacco.

General to all of the above

All tagged characters activity has to be in the spirit of the occupation they have chosen. For example if the smuggler is killed by a [PA tagged character, the [PA character then should also shoot and destroy the contraband.

Ignorance or disregard of the above rules will result in warnings and or fines.

The admin's decision is final.

The twist are small server side mods to make/keep things a little more interesting.

The server can easiliy hold up 40 players and probably won't have any problems with 50-60 players.

Server called Airforce 24/7 WTS

I run the largets clan there [SGC we are always running the latest version of the WTS World mod. (we upgrade 2-3 days after a release) We are trying to get more clans to come in, but freelance pilots are also more than welcome to drop by. The admins are [AIRFORCEDirknar and [AIRFORCEJENDA, new players get starting bonuses ($$$cha-ching$$$) and clans that form, or come already formed get an extra bonus. An easy way would be to download the starting money mod from this site - do a search for files - you activate it through Mod Manager and choose the starting money for new players. Saves editing ini files anyway!!

Hi everyone

IconzArena have installed a second server running FL version 1, called "ICONZ Arena Freelancer Public".

This is their second FL server running alongside a box operating ~ Evolutions 1.28.

The new version 1 server's details are;

ip 210.48.104.130.
32 player
closed gates are still closed - start up cash is set at 50k.
general rules are the same as those of the Evo server - no client mods(evo mod aside), etc, etc

NEW FUN SERVER!

Well, that's the hope anyway. The name of the sever is "A New Hope."
My idea is to create a fun server with a lot of interacitve missions. I want people to work together, whether that is to protect transports or attack them. Hopefully the storylines will be fun and stimulating.

The server will run on Freelancer Level 2, and as the game goes on I hope to add more mods that comply with the storyline.

This is my frist time running a server so I am open to suggestions and advice, as well as looking for people who might like to help make it more fun and/or create mods.

we are based out of eastern USA.

it is a new server and everyone is welcome please come check it out

we are runing a couple of server side mod and have a list of optional client side mods. we even have a mod in the works specialized to the server. our policy is that we will not require any mods, it will all be optional, so you can make the game as vinnela as you want. we have also taken steps to help keep the server fair and prevent bullying. it is why i decided to create the server in the first place, i was tired of being stepped on.

Wolf 359 (Freetrek Test Server)

A server i set up so i could:
1. Test out parts of my Freetrek MOD(long way to go until it's available).
2. Play freelancer with relatives.
3. Give anyone who wants to come online a chance to test out some MODs.

This server is a little unstable to say the least, what with all of the testing.
50% of the time, it is offline.

Basic Rules:

No Swearing
No PVP in New York
No Bullying other human players
No Insulting human players
No Swear-words in player names
No Players who arent willing to follow the above

Also I would like to congratulate TFT-Killermatrix and Hunterkiller for making the Starship Voyager updated ship. NICE TEXTURING.
Same goes for Godzero with the Delta flyer.
And Mike -A1Freelancers/Server for The NX-01.

Hey guys. I just put a new server online, Mr. Tauntaun's 24/7 server, at ip 67.163.173.231:2302
It is currently a vanilla server, but I am looking to effectively 'gift' it to a clan or group. Im looking for mod suggestions and would love to get a clan or clans playing on it. I am here to serve Anything to get a good playing community on it.
It is a decent machine, a P4 3 GHZ with 1 GB of ram.
