Info for U !! Server help.

Hi there !

If you need to give a user his savefile for use in another server you can do this : 1 : Search the acounts for a file named "banned"
2 : remember the search somehow (print it out)
3 : ban the player u need 2 give savefile
4 : Search again - and the new "banned" dir who shows up is him !
5 : Unban him and send him the save files *S*
If u bann a player and want's to see if he's cheating do as above but copy the save file to the singleplayer directory - then load the game and viola - u can fly a sabre with 2500 shields/Nannos or a NOMAD fighter in New York system. (i've tried it )
The files with the cheats tend to be small less than 8 Kb ,but i will look more into that. (Maybe it's so simple to ban cheaters - search for files less than 8 Kb and ban.. i can make a util who does that. ) Run such a util 2 times a day will ban the most cheaters.

The size of the save files seems to have no importanse..

Where is this 'banned' dir?

Hi there.

There is no "banned" dir but a filed called banned in each directory of the users who is banned. The users accounts is stored in the document folder.
Just right click on start and select (find seek or whatever the english ver is) and write the word banned and select the document folder as the target of the search.

Well it looks like you might be able to help me.

I have a character on my own server that I'd like to use on a friends server. Using your method I can find my characters data file, but how do I go about putting my character on my friends server (and likewise his character on mine)?

Hi there.

U copy the dir 23-fa2355 or whatever - into the multiplayer dir on your friends computer and restarts the server - then it should be there. Otherwise try deleting the accounts.cfg and then restart the server - remember u have to connect with your own computer - with the reg code that belongs to that char.
