Request for info from modders: Market goods modifications
Please note that this is relates to Elite and the DA Patch servers only.
As we approach the final build of the Freelancer Server patch, a request from DA has come out regarding client-side INI modifications:
"We'd like more information about the adding of market goods. If you were do modify a base to sell an item that the server doesn't list on that base or that the server doesn't know about at all (e.g. the new Super-Hamster Gun), it would still appear as available on your client, you could still buy it, but when you launched you would get kicked and logged as a cheater and would revert to your previous save. If this is not the case, please let us know."
Please post your findings here, or mail them to [email protected]. If you've never tried making client-side mods, now is your chance - see what you can accomplish.
