Banned from Elite??

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Banned from Elite??

Well i go to connect to Elite this morning, and as soon as i enter the password it says "The account you selected has been banned, please select another account."

The thing is, this happens before i even GET to select an account. Now last night it was working FINE, except for the damned bar issue which has been addressed in another thread. Why this problem this morning?

Now i must admit, i have been kicked from the server a FEW times for editing, and so i reinstalled freelancer so my edits would be taken off. Did someone just realise "hey, this guy was editing" and banned me this morning, or is it some type of problem?

Please help me as i am anxious to get back to Elite, i have a few good characters on there.

Griffon, the odds are, you were banned from Elite when you admited cheating per our consveration in the Dresden system about a week ago. That's when I noted that you jumped from level 1 to level 71 within minutes and you were automatically kicked off and you came back online at lvl 1. No, I did not report you since you said that you would not do any "editing" (cheating) again. But I suspect either you did started cheating again, and cheating is defined as doing ANYTHING which is not 100% orginal FL orginal INI files or exploites, or the Elite Admins are less forgiving than I was, and did not give you a second chance. Play clean on the other servers, or you will find yourself banned from them too.

Yes ok, advice taken

I have been unbanned now thanks to a merciful admin...ill try to confine my editing to....wherever its allowed

I have reinstalled freelancer now and gotten rid of any unkown edits i still had.

oh and..ah...i was told i was unbanned in an email by the admin, why do i still get the banned message?

do i have to wait for the server to restart or did he forget?

Griffon_26, and everyone, for specific character and account issues on Elite, send a mail to [email protected] rather than posting here.

I will not comment on these issues in this forum.

This rule is clearly listed in this post Elite Rules.
