Linux server

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Linux server

Hey people.

I've just found this WONDERFULL game and I've just woken up from some sleep after about 14 hours of contionious playing..

Does anyone know if there is a linux server for freelancer? It's a Microsoft game, but hey, it could be possible.

Any one know of someone who are about to code one?

Well since it's a MS game I don't think codeweavers will touch it, you can prolly get it playing with WINE though, actually thinking about that I will give it a try and let you know. If I can manage to get a server working under WINE this could be much fun

Nope nada not gonna happen

While the game does seem to try and load under WINE it goes poof and no matter what I do it won't work. I have looked a bit further in this forum and found out that WINE doesn't seem to like directplay very much so that would explaine it.

Sorry about that, too bad Loki isn't still around
