If you don't justify (or at least comment on) the bans, people will be offended and come back with cheats to make EVERYBODY they can miserable. And at that point, they don't care anymore. New ID? NP. Hell, even telling people why they're about to be banned would help.

U dont like the server u get to another server and thats it!

Pseudohacking is dangerous u know? If u happen to get ur ip pinpointed you can get sued for unauthorized use or exploit of system, and i sincerely dont fell pity for those that get arrested because they had a choise and they chose the dumbest one, and dumb stupid ppl must learn the hard way as usual.

i wont bother explaining the details, but the fact its upstream/downstream is = should be enuf for u to start using what nogin u have left. there are many sites out there that will explain the differences, but this simple page explains it rather easy for anyone to understand, "If you are going to be operating servers I would suggest SDSL if you can get it...". in regards to dsl in general. it is more then enuf to operate this server.

btw, if it is running like crap for u, but not for many else, have u considered it might be something on your end? time of the day? location/distance? other bandwitdh wasting programs? a firewall or a router of some sort? dont be so easy to complain about someone else. u have to realize this setup is not cheap, not at all. and what does gene get out of it? in the negative sense, he gets a crapload of complaining. ooh, my favorite part...

as for the server constantly crashing, there are prolly many factors involved. both b4 the connection change, and server player increase the server was still constantly crashing...

err, wow. its always bad, but this is real bad. now i am curious to c what has caused it. seems like it is crashing every 30 seconds. and i thought 15 minutes was bad, this is unplayable. now i c what the complaining is for. but something has had to change for the server to get this bad, as of yesterday to today.

this last crash seems to be bad (14:00 PST 4/25/03), server still hasn't come back online. Was crashing on a regular basis beforehand too.

Ok the seattle forum is compromized, i was minding my own business when someone nicknamed XtrackerX warned me about using the "ubber shield mod" and that i and my entire clan were about to be banned, i didnt even bothered to respond to the guy, he logs off, and when he logs on he says "sorry rules are rules and im botting you up" and im banned!

This guy isnt the admin but has admin rights so gene u got ur server hacked just to let u know

My nick is cleaver, and u can check me out if u want i dont use cheats and i hate cheaters and i would like to see this guy reported to his ISP and my nick unbanned.

Ok i managed to return and he says to me "back so soon? bye bye" and off the server i go, this seems like a nuke or boot, he cant ban me but he kicks me out of the server

Great this is the first time i see ppl framing a clan for cheating just because we PK, crono do your worst i have pics too and im gonna get them up in a min, and ur forgetting a little fact, the admin can check in the logs if we indeed cheated, and he is not going to find anything unless the hacker can forge logs too

LOL! that was me, and that was so i would know who to watch out for. if i was to edit the pics, i would need the original txt, and font used. otherwise it wouldnt look right. in this case, i would need to be in the vicinity of your character. oooh, haha, that has nothing to do with the pics. what i want to know is if u r also cleaver_ with the underscore? u wanted 500,000, and all i asked for was some names. lol
