connecting

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

connecting

sorry to keep asking this, i cannot connect to the global server, ive tried restarting my computer, switching off then on again, even deactivating any mods i have running,

but i still cant get it to connect, it says 'connecting to global server' this continues for ages,

i even when out for 2 hours, came back and it still was trying to connect, does anyone have any good ideas.

If you have a firewall, disable it and see if that fixes your problem.
If it does, you'll need to configure your firewall to allow Freelancer
traffic.

I believe the list server is: 207.46.204.209. You could try doing a
'tracert' from a dos prompt and see if whether it makes it to the server.

Peace sells...but who's buyin'?

Running ADSL has no bearing at all on the probability of being hacked.
The odds of you getting hacked during the 5 minutes (tops) that you'd
need to disable your firewall and run freelancer are somehwere between
piss-poor and unbelievable. As to 'why' you should have to mess with
it, I have no idea, but I don't own your computer or control access to
it, so I do not assume that a) your firewall hasn't been 'messed' with
since your game last worked properly, or b) that your game ever
worked appropriately in the first place.
