Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

******NEED HELP SETTING UP SERVER**********

I'm having some problems gettign my server seen by others. I have a linksys router that i'm hooked up to. I know there is a built in firewall but i'm not sure if i need to open ports or which ones if so and to open ports i need to know my ip address, but i don't know how to find that out so if someone could tell me with that i would appresiate it. Thanks

Mine is behind a router/switch/firewall as well. A Alcatel/Thomson 510v4 device. The server has a fixed internal IP-adress and is known to the 510v4 as server. All traffic considering the game is routed to the server.

The server is extra protected by Norton Internet Security. And not for nothing, since the server is running one particular IP-adress is trying to get controll by searching for sub7. Naughty boy.

The best thing is I'm playing by the internal 100 Mbps switch. With a ping of 2 ms.

How do you do that???

You need to go set your server as DMZ for your router, you have to go into advanced configuration, and the DMZ tab and just fill in the ip for your server. this will allow your server to be seen by the outside world.

hope this helped
