We need Admin tools

i am getting fed up of trying to keep on top of the modders/cheats that join my server

when i started the server it had been going about 3 hrs and i had about 8 people join looked at the playerlist 30 mins later and 6 of them where lvl 38 allready
when i questioned them they said they had been playing on this server a while weeks even , when i new the server was only hrs old..

now its almost inpossible to know who is a cheat who is not as the server has been up for 4 weeks and has over 700 player accounts

are there any admin tools that can help me out..
before i give up and hosting...

we need a way to stop modders/cheats from wreaking the game for the normal players...

i have nothing against mods but when the server cant control it ,it seems a waste of time, i cant see the game lasting with all the cheating going on

but is this is the same uk 24/7 i play on then you cant take it down.
will be the third time i spent hours and hours getting ym money up.

mabye you might want to make it password only ?

It's not hard...

Say I go...take a few missions..make a few dollars...trade borion to shefield...make more money...make enough to do a run to leeds...buy better
trader...blah blah blah...

The point is ....once i give that player money his rating automatically jumps

How it jumps so fast...who knows...

I'm trying to create a set of admin tools that will hopefuly remove some of the lameness. I've created a tool to automatically restart the server when it crashes, I'm also working on a tool for resolving character names to the multiplayer folder names and their respective multiplayer IDs.

The main project is the anti-cheat one, but unfortunately I haven't had to time to figure out how the cheats work yet, so that's on hold until I can find out.

Demus, mind emailing me at [email protected] with that auto-restart thingy, and anything else your working on? I'd love a few more admin tools (especially something to see exactly who is playing, what rank they are, location and other info... if possible)

Why not just send the tools here to lancers Reactor....that way we would ALL have them, and beat the living snot out of the cheaters that make our servers crash?

WEll u know what I think would be really handy, is an auto-kick bot for high pingers, as thats the biggest problem I've had, as the server has no way of reporting players pings even for manual kicks/bans. If anyone knows a way to fix this, please share your knowledge.

I play on your server, and frankly I love it. It is the only server that I have found that you don't lose your character when it crashes. Plus there is almost always other people in there. Keep up the good work. =)

i made an admin fast gating MOD for admins, it puts jumpholes to all the major sectors near manhattan, and back. they lead to the "New ________" planets

heh yeah keep your server up on fl unmoded i play it aswell it rox. but i'd just like to add that hm it's soo f***ing easy to make fast money on fl. i mean i played 1 day on your server (player name: fokoflefou) and i had already a Sabre.. once you know wich are the good places to make cash it goes so fast

so even by knowing when everybody started and so u couldn't realy find oud who's cheating or not

btw: i just created my own server and i was wondering if it was possible to customize it w/ a server side Mod ?? or just with a tool or so. becose the flserver.exe just sucks, u can't get any info about players/ what they are doing.. and so.

Thats is because my friend "WimP" and I "MoNgOoSe", attacked a bunch of trains and things, and let you and a few other starting out players have all of the loot. Trust me it takes longer then a day to get a sabre, but i do agree with you that it has gotten pretty boring.
