The general place to discuss MOD''ing Freelancer!

System rotations

Has anyone noticed that none of the planets rotate around their suns?
I understand y they would do this for the tradelane factor. but lets say for instince the system didnt have any trade lanes but used jump holes to get around, would it be possible to have everything in that system rotate around a sun jumpholes and all??

nope not possible...
planets positions are in .ini files... can't change them during game...

the planets rotate very slowly, however if you make a ship and an engine Uber enough, you can hit a planet so it starts spinning like mad, almost like if its been knocked off its axis by a comet or something.

its fun to watch the transports crash into the planet

yeah, when i rammed a asteroid with a battleship, i started a chain reaction that led to the death of a liberty rouge

Anyway, the asteroid span of and hit another asteroid which pressed the liberty rouge between those 2 rocks... it was really fun too see

REALLY?? You can ram the astorids?? whitch astorids sizes?? the small moving ones that you can shoot?? or the big ones that you can't shoot at but you can hot and make them move with the battleship? cuz I'd wanna do that! screw around! heheehe
