String Id number help

I could really use some help in finding \adding\editing names info etc.. in the dlls but when i check in the ini files the string id apears nowhere in the namedresources.dll. can someone plz help me with this

ok im using resource tuner (imho: the best) and you want to change planet names/ system names /people's names? I dont see why you look at the Ini's when you want to change names in dll's.

well i want to add new ones to the list but if i dont know how the originals relate to ids in dlls it makes it very hard

Try adding them under another string that already has a name, that way you can easily find the id number for it and use the next number.

I would like to know any easier way to, if anyone knows.

Well keep trying, doing it that way the numbers arent always in the same order as the way you view them in resource tuner, but its close.

Try the next few numbers before and after.

I've been wondering about it myself (I am not a binary wizzkid

Almost all stuff in INIs has ids_strid and ids_info but they don't match stringtable's ids in nameresources.dll. Anyone?

but i would presume it would go by line number? will look as soon as i get the program
