While I'm a huge fan of wing commander, Unfortunately I think the series is dead

Last I checked over at the wing commander cic, they were working on the last of the mods. One was for homeworld I believe, where they swapped out the ships. It looked very promising, I'll have to check upon it soon.

Actually, a new GBA Wing Commander game is coming. There are more mods coming than 2, from what I understand.

they have tons of mods listed, but most of them seem tto have been abandoned. It would be nice to have a wing commander 6 tho, just to finish off the story

Ahhh yes, Wing commander. That brings back so many memories!
Too bad it doesn't seem that there will be any more sequals to the series.

Another game series that DESPERATLY needs a sequal is the Freespace Series! I loved the plot in that game, and I wanna know why the Shivans blew up that star and what happened to Admiral Bosch!

Wing Commander will never die. Wing commander is the reason that this game exists. As for the latests mods, there is a new team modding Hegemonia into a WC game. Also there is a mod nearing completion for WC Prophecy that changes the game into the WC 1 & 2 universe. Should be good fun.

WC GBA game is prophesy. As for another WC, i don't want it. EA screwed up WC already by killing off Blair, I don't want them to finish screwing up WC like they did to Ultima. As for a mod i'd love to see it. Could split up space between Confed, Border World, and Kilrathi. Someone can skin all the ships, and we can replace em all. Add Cap Ships, Carriers, Bases, new systems. Edit missile code so they are more effective and make torpedos only real effective weapons against cap ship, and you got yourself a wing commander mod .
