when you say your gonna add a way to put in a normal ship, could you show us the nomad ship?

with the cruisers i think its alot more realistic that they dont land on planets... think about it you have all these millitary ship yards... you think huge capital ships are gonna be produced on planets, or able to land on planets? capital ships were made for space, have them only able to dock with spacestaions and shipyards, then again i know nothing about the gaming code and dont assume to

I added this code as per the instructions in the beganning of the thread. Well...Ive ran into a little barrier, I replaced the light fighter on Manhattan with the cruiser. I go to buy it - and theres no ship there, and it only lists the rhino and the patriot for sale.

Whats up with that? Ive done most everything I can to figure out what was wrong, but to no luck.

Its possible that your market list package line isn't the same as the one in the goods file. Example, the 2nd good section with the nickname "my_ship" would have to be the same in the market_ship file

Ok, used Bini.exe (uncompressed them), edited INI's. Saved them as INI's, changed extesions of originals to .bak. Started the game, went to check the ships for sale and it wasn't showing. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have to search the ships out? Do I need to re-compress the INI's?

Only on stations they can be bought?

This could explain why it isnt working for me...

Is there a lsit of which nicks = what station and planet name?

eg. LI01 = Manhattan. What would the shipyards be?

A question..

As I understand each ship has hardpoints such as HpWeapon#,HpShield#, HpTurret#, etc. Are these hardcoded or you can define your own? If so, where?

I got mine from an orbiting docking station I believe. It might have been the shipyards... but not totally sure (had a little too much fun flying it around )

Ok, here is how it goes. Your goods list should have something like this if you've inputted it correctly.

Now note the nox_cruiser_package. Your market_ships file should have something like this in whatever base area you picked.

marketgood = nox_cruiser_package, 6, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

Remember, if their names are'nt the same, you won't have the ship cause the game can't find that particular file.
