A penny to... *SPOILER*

The first person to put a black hole in the game! There doesn't seem to be one in the current universe, but there are a lot of files that have to do with a black hole (Omega13.ini, sounds like a cut system) left over in the game's folder. Can someone put it back in somewhere?

Here's what the black hole is apparently supposed to look like I guess:

blackhole1.jpg
blackhole2.jpg

Done by replacing the model manhattan uses with solar\misc\blackhole.3db. Theres also another blackhole model, but thats just a pitch black ball

Edit: And the thing is huge, I had to fly to fort bush to see it all

I'm no astronomist, but I'm fairly sure that if you actually have a blackhole in a system, the system would be sucked into oblivion in no time. And even without the whole Hawking thing, it'd still be way too big to fit into a system.

Seeing as how the rest of the universe is out of proportion I don't see why we can't have baby blackholes

And who cares if its realistic as long as it looks cool : ) Im sure space isnt quite as colorful either hehe.

the thing about blackholes is you can't actually see them... not even light can escape thier gravitational pull.

that's if you really wanna get technical :p

Actually you can see them , or atleast detect them as they according to quantum mechanics emit radiation.... so i guess if you wore your obligatory radiation amplification goggles or some other made up gadget =)

Heh cool. I bet thats the inside PNR of the old one, that had like a ring of debris going around it. In the older videos.

Actually... Even high energy protons can sometimes escape the event horizon... Not usually, but sometimes.

Also, you can see the dust and gas going into the black hole, just it disappears when it gets to the event horizon, which is why the black part is so wide.

And about it sucking everything in, it would have to be large enough. For example, take our sun and cram it down into a black hole, all the planets and everything would be the same as always, except without light, because the sun has the same mass, and the same gravitational pull.

But anyway... The one with all the gas would be what a black hole would be like in a nebula or something... And the big black ball would be what our sun would look like if it turned into a black hole.
