Faction Editor

Does anyone know where i can find a tutorial for the Faction Editor 2.0? I understand it to a point, but then it gets to something called IDS which i have no clue about, so any help on how to use the program would be nice.
n.b. i'm not looking for methods including manually editing XML's and .ini's, because i have no knowledge of how to do this.

No idea here, my learning process has been hit and miss. But the ids info card editor has helped me find "open" numbers to use at will.

The IDS you are speaking of is an abreviation for ID numbers...
the ids have XML text attatched to them in the infocards. These are easily edited with FLE-IDS. You can find empty ids numbers, and add your text to them easily. The text is just descriptions of what ever teh ids number is associated with...for example a Factions description in the Navmap...or a weapons description in the shop.

FLE-Ids is the infocard editor....its REALLY easy to use.

And for making factions...it is in my opinion to manually edit the appropriate .inis to make new factions. Though this process is REALLY time consuming (roughly 20 minutes a faction and thats being REALLY basic).

But to edit the .ini's you need to decompress em...either use FLE (thats the one i use) or use BiniQ ( i think thats the name)...and an .ini is just a simple text document...you can use wordpad to edit em

There are tuts here to make you own factions the old fashiond and how to use FLE-IDS
