Is there no way of combining methods told here so that the DLL can remain? Or a new one with the appropriate code be done?

In short, no. The DLL removal version depends entirely on doing just that, removing the DLL. You don't remove the DLL, and take it from me, stripping the storyline will be one interesting journey of outsmarting hard-coded file references. You can easiely prevent the storyline from playing, theres all sorts of mods that do that, its the fact that those references are still there. If you want the references gone, you _MUST_ remove the DLL. No questions asked.

I don't actually understand whats so important about leveling up. Remember, thats only in SP - MP is fully functional. If leveling up is terribly important in SP... i disagree. Leveling up has only been a source of annoyance to most players and i doubt many will care in SP if their rank starts out at 50 (speaking of which, it is no longer stuck at 0, its changed in the restart.fl file). But i never said that this method was good for SP, because this method was _NOT_ good for SP, it was designed for MP. I tried to make SP as bug-less as possible, but that is all.

Read my detailed release post for more information, along with testing it for yourself.

But what i'm going to say here is that because of all the hardcoded references, a true FL lite is simply not possibly unless you rip out the DLL file, end of story.
