Here is a tutorial I made a while ago. It covers everything from making the weapon to naming it and giving it a special effect. Hopefully it helps you out, if you have any questions about it just ask

Due to the current search capabilities, and not 100% effective tutorial organisation, why would they spend time looking when they may ask politely.

Your determination of it being a lazy post is because you know where things are, he likely doesn't, therefore your comments were unjustified.

But, hopefully when I can get some work done on FL-XML there shouldn't be much need for simpler tutorials such as this as it could be done with minor editing.
