Help!!!!

i'm trying to extract some ships that i like from a mod made by someone other than me, and place them into my own singleplayer mod that i will keep to misels so as not to upset certain people...i've done this with a lot of mods because i like playing the storyline of the game with custom ships.The thing is I never had any problems until now.This singleplayer mod consists in 2 ships that are conversions from another game.i've done the scrip files the shiparch, etc and the ships appear correctly in the manhattan ship dealler, I can buy them and install upgrades on them but when I try to take off the game crashes.This problem never occured before in my other mods and I would like to get some answers on the possible reasons for wich this is happening.Pls Help!!!

Which ships actually are you using? It might help to track down the problem. Could you post up the shiparch entry for one that isn't working?

I assume you have done some goods.ini entries for equipment that comes with the ship.. check these entries for typo's.. it would appear from your description that seems to be the direction to look..

I've found the problem but this still leaves me with another question. The problem was indeed in the goods.ini file....in the engine package to be more exact. I've fixed the problem and now it works, however i had to change the engine that the custom ship was using with one from the game...the problem is it's placed to far inside the ship and it doesn't look that great. So is the thruster.
What can I do to fix this?

use hardCMP to edit the position of the hardpoint

You could always goto engine_equip in the mod you got the ship from and take out the custom engine and put it in your mod (w/e) file...it's a rough patch but it should work
