Ship Repair Price?

Is there a way to increase the cost of repairing your ship, or is it hard coded?

I would like to increase the cost by about 75%.

the repair costs are calculated out of the worth of your ship
every part of the equipment that is mounted is calculated
the value seems to be hard coded

well you could raise the price of the ships or their equipment to get higher repair costs

flybyu,

one thing that ensures that each time you use your ship you need to pay for repairs.. is to lower the hitpoints on all equipment.. expensive guns (for instance) become expensive to repair.. each and every time you use your ship you register damage, fighting, travelling through minefields, radiation.. etc....the constant need for equipment repairs has a tendancy to eat into the bank balance somewhat.. tho you need to be a bit careful .. lower them too much and even a short trip through light radiation can damage them so much you lose them..

Thanks harrier

I never thought about that, it seems the obvious is looking at you in the face and you just do not see it sometimes.
