hitpoints vs. armor_scale_x

Hi all,

I have a few small question of which I couldn't find an answer through the search function;

- Shiparch.ini contains the hitpoints of every ship
- Loadout.ini contains this armor_scale_ variable thingamabob

? When I modify the hitpoints of ships in Shiparch.ini, does that change npc ship hitpoints as well? Or do they use this armor_scale_ thing instead to let their hitpoints be defined?

? Is armor_scale_ perhaps just a simple multiplier of a ship's hitpoints?
Say, a ship has 100 hp according to Shiparch.ini, does armor_scale_5 just multiply this by 5, making it 500?

Thanks in advance.

its only a multiplier used for npc loadouts

the real hitpoints are those of the shiparch (which also would affect the npcs)

Does anyone know the amount of which this multiplier multiplies?
Say a hull has 1000 hitpoints, the armor_scale is set to 2 for a certain loadout, does this make 1000x2=2000 hp or is it multiplied differently?

armor_scale_2 = hitpts x 1.368900

check the select_equipment for more details
