Mission Problem ASAP

Hi guys,
I've been having a problem with the amount of NPC that are showing up during my missions. Now this isn't just in my new systems this is in all systems, I've never had this problem til I frist got the mod tested online.
I've edited the npcship.ini and made every NPC(besides nomad) "ace". That changed a few things but I changed everything back becuase I thought that would change the amount of NPC in the missions, well the missions are easyer, but the amount of NPC are crazy, There is no way a new person could do this. Thios happens on the 2000 credit missions.
I've been working on this for about a week now and have got onlt so far.
I have been thinking that this has to do with mbases, but I do not know at this time.
I will mess with that and find out my self.

But any tips would be a great help and ASAP would even be better becuase I am going to have a server test tommrow and want to get this done by tonight.
Other wise I'll have to fix the missions after the server test and have to wait.....
So anyone who knows how to do this please help.

So u want it to be that there are less ships in random missions. Which factions are you using? Surely you could modify the diff to money setting a bit and have it so that missions are less tough.
I had a funny one when i was doing new missions for the first time and my mbase setting was too high for the difficulty level. I was playtesting using a basic legionnaire and went up against the mollys. Must have had about 16 or mollys to fight against, each coming in waves of 4 or 5.
Depending for the faction, you might need to add higher level npcship entries for some of the weaker ones. Other than that you could post up a few mbase bits. Just the bits that control the mission level, not the baseside pop stuff.

Well, the problem is happening with every faction and every mission, on every base. Not just my new systems, systems like New York, Texas, etc.

See, not much differnt, but the problem is and with every other base is that it is showing up with crazy amounts of npc, like this one missions too me forever and I killed well over 20 Npc before I got outnumbered and blew up.
I've been working on this for over 2 weeks on and have not had much luck, but I'll still be working on the problem,
any tips would be a huge help.

NOw the weird thing about this is that no matter what level my missions are they are still the same amount of money as the unmodded FL. So level 100 missions as you can see would not be 2 million, it would be like.......(guessing)100 k.
Now what have I done to make it do this? I have no idea, this whole problem never showed up til I started preparing it for an online testing.

Well, u had said that you have edited npcships, what knid of changes did you make there?

um um um.....
I changed all pliots to Aces, but later changed them back to normal.
But I've been messing with the mbases and turning down the level to 5 or 6 makes them alot better, but ....they still have alot of work needed. Like Rheinland back-up get's killed by the level 19 NPC, but that's all easy to get done.
I've had never had luck with this part of FL modding. There is always a bug that happens.
But making the levels lower will just have to do til I can figure out a better way to do it.
I've tested on lan, and it seems to work alot better now.
But hey thanks for answering my questions. 2 week problem slove and will be nice tohave in my fix.

If its just some of the random mission types, you might be able to remove some entries from vignette params. Yo might be able to adjusy wether you get the couple of high levels or lots of lower levels.
Might be worth a shot?
