Explore

When i make a new faction with the faction editor and i want to add this to a new system with freelancer Explore the faction isn't in the list of faction.
Help me plzzzzz.

make sure their IDS name is in the correct DLL (not one you made) i think its meant for nameresources but infocards works fine.

Err, if ur adding new factions it really needs to be in namesresources as its ids_name number is linked to other numbers in offerbribes. You'll need that if you want the random missions to work.

NO NO like in Crossfire they have encounters that are not in explorer. Too bad ytou have to add them manaualy. I made afraction called Figutives and Explorer comes with it.

The manual incounter is like this.
This is the one for figutives but you need to edit fractio_prob.ini so it will acualy work

faction_weight = fc_f_grp, 1 <--- what fraction the 1 stands for 100% if you gpot 2 fractions bouth must be less then or 100
encounter = area_assault, 6, 0.200000 <------- the incounter ini in missions/incounters it must be alibale for that fraction or it wont work. the .20000 is the fraction encounter chance all must be less then or 100
faction = fc_f_grp, 0.200000 <------ The fracxtion
encounter = area_scout, 6, 0.200000 <the sama as above
faction = fc_f_grp, 0.200000

As ytou see all of em are eqwal to 100.

Well, some encounters, capital ship encounters for example, don't show up in the encounter list in FLE (the older version anyway). But, most of the encounters that have fighters and freighters do. I think its all down to their behavior.
If you add the faction and add your ids_names into namesresources.dll then they should be visable when choosing which faction in FLE.
If you are updating the dll, don't forget to copy the updated file into the mod folder. If you update in the original exe one its easy to forget and FLE will use the one from the mod's exe one instead.
