A suggestion
I know this is probably considered gauche .. but here goes.
I'm not a modeller and I don't have time to learn to become one ..

... and I bet I'm not the only one! These are really high-quality reference photos from the new BSG series for the Mark II Viper, and man it is cool. My favorite ship to fly in Freelancer as it is is the Colonial Viper that Porsche did for us, and it truly rocks, but the Mark II Viper would be even cooler.
This site (starshipbuilder.com) is a fantastic site for reference images of space ships, if anyone is looking for these. There's quite a bit of great stuff here.
