HELP!!!

Ive made a mod with new systems, weapons and all the usuall but ive got 2 problems

1. I cant get my own intro image to work even though ive got 2 .tga's. I converted them from .bmp with a free converter thing-that could be the problem, if it is could some one give me a link to where to get a free converter that works or email me one that works.

2. Ive added some ships and ive done the scripting to them info cards but it just says "unknown object" on the actuall game.

if anyone can help then please please please do.

The images in the intro/images folder must have exactly the same name as the originals to work unless you change the links in the freelancer.ini file. If after this then you need to try a different conversion package, I use photoshop and they work perfectly.

As for your info tags it's dificult to say what problem could be without seeing your files. Have you created a new .dll for your mod or are you using the originals. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the references are correct and that the xml text is formatted correctly. Copy an original one and just change the text. Use FL IDds, it works perfectly well for me.

If you need to see good example code, with explanations... please download my XML Toolkit Mod, 1.2, which has very good examples of how to write the XML scripts for ships properly. My guess is that your scripts are either:

1. Written incorrectly.
2. Not named correctly.

Both things can cause problems!

allrihgt, the images MUST be as follows:

for 800x600x16 / 1024x768x16:
pic name : startupscreen_16.bmp
resolution : 800x600
bit : 24
format : OS/X

for 800x600x32 / 1024x768x32:
pic name : startupscreen.tga
resolution : any x any
bit : 32
format : windows

the font thing just needs to be in 32 bt but dont ask me how to get that so as the bg still works!

christ how lnog did i spend working that out *yawn*

I worked out why the infocards were not working its cos' I used Freelancer explorer and added some weapons platforms to one of the systems, so the right script was in the .OLD file.(he he he wat a funny type of file ) So i just copyed and pasted it into market_ships.ini after deleting the wrong script.

I also downloaded photoshop and now the intro's working.
