Custom Music

I've been wondering how do you add custom music and I am getting really mad that I can't find anything on adding custom music to freeelancer.
But I'll tell you what I've done so far.
I got my custom music in WAV. form. I made a new file called AUDIO and added the sogn in there, I then went to my system and added for system music the name of the song.
It should work shouldn't it or I am I missing a step here?
I would like some help to there.
I've know I've seen a question asked here that is the same thing but can't find it and for got how old it was.
But some help would be great
Thanks

Of course your missing something. The game needs to know where the new file is. This is defined in DATA/AUDIO/music.ini. Just copy one entry and replace the name and the file locations with the values you need.

The game does not automatically detect all files in AUDIO/MUSIC. You could put the music file in the ships folder as well, as long as you correctly define it in music.ini.

Ok so what I am doing is taking the music.ini(The one with the gear by it) and then adding the nick name of the sogn and the path like this.
[Sound
nickname = rtc_music_last_evil
type = music
file = AUDIO\MUSIC\music_last_evil.wav
attenuation = 0

Is this right?

I've tryed what you told me and it still isn't working. I re-checked the system file again and the name of the file and it still isn't working. Any ideas?

Well, then it is a problem with the format of your wav-file. Look at the other music files. Your file has to meet exactly these specification, otherwise it won't work.
