Blocking DataStorm

I noticed in the DataStorm forum, that some mods block access by datastorm onto some or all systems.

Simple question: How is this done? How do I keep the users of the mod from using DS to look at the systems? Cuz finding one special system is an essential part of my mod.

Ah, and BTW: I've rearranged the systems a bit and now the system backgrounds are messed up, some systems not having one at all, others showing the backgrounds of different systems. I suppose this is hardcoded by DS, isn't it?

Simply put a second universe INI File (And reference to it in Freelancer.ini) and put all the systems you want to hide in this second Universe INI File.

Create a new file in the same location as universe.ini called something else, like "universe2.ini". Then, in freelancer.ini add the line "universe = Data\Universe\universe2.ini" after the other line that says "universe = ...". This works because Datastorm only reads the first universe entry, so anything in the second file will be hidden and not shown in Datastorm.

@Accushot :
It does?? I was pretty much sure DataStorm does not ever read Freelancer.ini and assumes default files. I do think it works like this, as I simply changed the name of universe.ini in reality and in Freelancer.ini and it didnt show the systems, it used the original universe.ini
