Need help with templates for infocards

I've read through the tutorials on making infocards, great stuff! The only templates I have found anywher though are for adding SHIPS, and I need templates for weapons and equipment. Since the mod I am working on does not alter any of the original gameplay in SP or the original systems in MP, I am trying to introduce new and different items to reflect the technologies of the new system I am building and the people who "live" there. These are not uber weapons or such, though they are a wee bit more wicked than what the game has to offer unmodded.

The reason for the upgraded stats is a tougher system to survive in. I thought perhaps to ResHack original infocards for weapons and such to get the templates, but they come up all coded and I don't know how to decrypt them. so I downloaded some other mods to see if I could find applicable templates there, again, coded. I downloaded all of the utility programs I could find and am having no luck finding one that can decypher a usable infocard template for me.

Suggestions anyone?

Search for a program on here called Fled-ID's. It is great for viewing and editting infocard information.

Alderbaran is correct as usual. The best tool for this is Fled_ids, which allows you to see the info from any entry in the whole game including custom dll's. Thus when you type in the ids_info number of any other weapon, it will give you the "template" to put in a new one. Just be sure to put in your new ids_info number first, before changing the tyuped information so you don't muck up the old one when you save. And God... it's hard to type with a cat on your lap!

To both of you, many thanks, found what I needed. I am just the kind of person that likes to double check things before I do them when I don't know what I am doing. Next question in a new post.
