Making Big Bases

Hi,

I know how to make big planets and stars, but does anyone know how to make big bases? Thanks.

The actual Freelancer bases can not be resized without mucking up the animations on the docking doors, though most of the add on componants (like shipyards, biospheres and storage tanks) can be resized using FLModelTool (remember to increase the size of the CMP and the SUR Files). A better option still is to make completely new bases at any size you want. These can be made in simalar methods to the way you make a ship, but if you want them to be sur-filed correctly, until we can get some definates on Sur File exportation methods, your best bet is make your bases Modular. In fact, even if we do manage to get a working Sur File Exporter, Modular Stations are still the way forward to go due to the infinate diversity they can offer.
