powerplants not showing up in dealer/on ship

ok, so i've added the basic powerplants from all the original ships to the game as buyable. when im in space i can see in the equipment section my powerplant. HOWEVER, whenever i'm docked, the powerplant is not visible, and it doesnt show in the dealers screen like it should.

any ideas wtf is goin on here?

1. Are they showing up in your inventory?
2. Have you done the entrys in market misc.ini ?

they show up in my inventory when im in space, but not when im docked. yes, i've made the proper entries in market_misc.ini and misc_good.ini.

Okay, well one problem i can see is your shop_archetype icon and your equipment icon are the same.

Try this,

shop_archetype = equipment\models\hardware\li_fusion_reactor.3db

Remember one is for sale at the equipment dealer in the shop which the above refers to, then the icon you have for powerplants defined here

item_icon = equipment\models\commodities\nn_icons\EQUIPICON_powerplant.3db

shows up once you've bought the new piece of equipment and should be visible once it is on your ship

well, tried it, but nothing changed..
i can still see the powerplant in the section where my bots/bats are when im IN SPACE, but when im not in space, theres nothing there, and theres nothing at the place where they're supposed to be sold >_<"

Actually, i've put my powerplants in ST_goods, it might be worth a try to just copy it to the other one..

I am having the same problem too trying to get engines to show with the ships. I don't want engines to be sold jsut showned on the ships and I was going to make new kinds of cool engines later in my mod.
Yea so thats gotten me beat too.
But I've tryed a files called engines_good.ini and still no luck getting it to should. also misc_good.ini. I added the new tracter and scanner and those work great but when I tryed the engines they don't show, could this do to the fact it's not in the goods.ini or misc_ good.ini?
I don't need help makeing the script for the engines jsut need to see if anyone had this problem also before.
Or does the ship need that item added to it? it already has it added on to the ship right?

Well, on my mod everything is shown ok. The powerplants are in ST_Goods.ini and the engines are in Misc_goods.ini
If you want to post the goods that you have added, maybe we can find the answer?

Quick question, Do you need to do all of the engines before they show or can you do one to test it.
Becasue I want to test one engine frsit before I start to do them all.

You can do one at a time if you want to, you don't have to do them all together,.

Yea I got them to work now. The only engine that makes the game crash is the starblazer engine also known as ge_gf3_engine_01. After looking there is no such thing as a starblazer. (I never seen one nor heard of it.) Unless I am worng and never thought about it. lol Anyway that is the only engine that makes the game crash.
I'll have to ask my friend if there is now lol he has the FL guild book he got for free with his game. (It's worthless after beating the game LOL.)

The starblazer is one of the 'hidden' freelancer ships, for some reason, it like the CSV, Juni's Defender etc.. DA left them out of the game as player ships yet they are used elswhere, you see a lot of starblazers flying around in planet scenes.. but nowhere else - yet the .cmp .mat and .sur files all exist..

go figure..

starblazer = beta starting ship,then they said - hey that doesn't suck enough!people are actually going to WANT that ship....strip off the cool fins and the secondary engine and they'll work as hard as possible to get away from it...thus the Starflier was born

Wow that's weird. I might try to add that and see it. But when I played the story, I never thought I've seen one. ^^ Maybe I did but thought they were star trackers.
Wow man I bet there are like hundereds of hidden things they haven't added to the game.
