Space name ? as in Liberty Space

Ok guys stuck with a prob i cant seem to find an answer to (why did the search engine disappear?)

Anyway onto my prob...

I've added to new some systems, and what i cant seem to fix is, you know when you junp form say.. Colorado to NY is prints at the top of the screen "New York, Liberty Space." well i want mine to print "New Paris, Gaul Space." How do i add the Gaul Space ??

I know its nothing to do with the system name just cant figure out how to add the XXXXX Space

anyone help plz ?

well i think from the last i read about this it was some coding thing da did.... so we cant do those that i know of....

the search was taken becuase it was causeing the "death" of the server (i think)

The space name is controlled in resources.dll in the string table and there are 4 entries
Id text
1249 Liberty
1250 Bretonia
1251 Kusari
1252 Rheinland

u cant add more and they seem to be hardcoded to link to their systems
so Liberty or whatever text u have will work for th Lixx systems and so on

But you could the call the system itself "New Paris, Gaul" or "New Paris, Gaul Space". Yeah okay, the popup on the universe map would be slightly different but as far as I know, it should work quite well.

I thought of an idea for this a little while ago. All you need to do is rename the zone that is used when traveling between gates and holes. i.e.
Li03_to_Li01_hole or Li03_to_Li01
If you give that zone a name it should, hopefully, come up once you jump in from the gate/hole.
The zones themselves are very small, so it shouldn`t cause any problems with you getting the message coming up by mistake.
If you try it could you let me know if it works?

Oh, are you talking about the tradelane_space_name or whatever that's called? I think I know what you're talking about. I can try it here soon and let you know what happens ;-)
