Need help creating jumphole please

These are my jump gates in New London to the other capitals systems, they work fine too.

Try using gates instead of holes.

If you put too many objects in New York your server will crash when you player count goes up. I learned this the hard way. Put 4 jump gates in NY and as soon as I got 5 players, boom, server crashed

I have one extra jumnp gate in NY

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with your jump hole, try looking elswhere.

Your problem has to be the ini files,are you editting the origional game files or the SDK,are you working inside FLMM or the game directory.To enter a system thats empty without CTD the ini file must be empty apart from the jumphole entry.

editing the files in fl dir (game dir) mod activated by flmm so filrs in game dir are uncompressed.

i was adding jumpholes to the bottom of existing Li01.ini and Br01.ini

Sorry m8 dont know what CTD is or means.. all i know is the new london system is empty after i add those lines to the above files in freelancer\data\universe\systems\Li01\Li01.ini and Br01\Br01.ini respectivly

Hi again unicornz!

CTD means that the game crashes, shuts down and you are back in windows.

Bejaymac is right. The only possible solution is that your Br01.ini is totally empty except of your new jumphole entry.

Try this: At first deactivate all mods. Then extract the FL SDK TWICE. First in your FL directory (this way it fixes some errors if you play vanilla FL). And then one more time to another directory. Then you can work on the files in the second directory, without working in your actual FL game directory (Working in the game directory is not a good ides, as you need to make backups manually and sos on).

After this, go to the Br01.ini and add the jumphole again (same code as in the thread) and afterwords to the Li01.ini and add the other jumphole. Then try if it works. In my opinion somehow your files got screwed up. Therefore you should start again and then it should work.

Using jumpgates will not work and you also do not have too many objects in NY (I think White was wrong with this). Just try to start again and if you do only these things (adding two jumpholes, without adding anything else or deleting anything) it should work!

My Jump Gates work just dandy :-P

I wasn't suggesting that he had too many was just pointing out that if I put more than 2 in NY, CRASH

Sorry White. I did not want to offend you.

Of course your jumpgates are working. The thing I wanted to say is that in his situation jumpgates will also not work. There is no mistake with his jumphole settings, but there has to be something wrong with his Br01.ini file. Therefore it does not matter what he adds, jumpholes and jumpgates will both not work.

And for the crash, because of too many objects. I also added several jumpholes and jumpgates to NY some time ago (Unfortunately I deleted it, as it was useless for my mod, so that I cannot look into it now) and it worked perfectly.

So, I'm totally sure that your additions are working, but in this situation, for unicornz it is very probable that they will not work and it would be the best, if he just starts again. This should not be too hard, as he only added two jumpholes so far (needs about 5 minutes to add and test it).

yea sarted again got it going but now if someone sets a best path waypoint to any system outwith the one theyre in it crashes the server

OK found out, that only happens if you put a j/h or j/g in NY
