HUD mod?

Is there a mod that changes the ugly thick purple boxes on the HUD into something otherwise colored, maybe thiner and more professional looking, like in normal flight sims? Cause it looks so bad, like a toy..

you can change the colors but not the positions or shape.

Hmm, how can you change the colors of the HUD? And can't you change the fonts, too? I've thought that that's what the Data\Fonts\ folder is for, but I have not had time to messwith the fonts lately.
