How to change the version of the exe file

Hmm...If I'm not allowed to answer, someone please feel free to delete this.

Firstly, download THE most useful modding tool named PE Explorer. If you are into your modding in a big way, I would seriously recommend buying this. There is so much that you can do with it.

Anyway, change the Product version from 1.0.1033 (or something like that) to whatever you want. Eaxmple, I change my PRODUCT VERSION to 0.80.1033

Doesn't FL mod manager change the version number for modders? * scuttles off before the coding-nazis' henchmen can fink to the gestapo *

If you don't fancy paying the $129 for PE Explorer you can download Resource Hacker for free, it works just as well for simply changing version numbers.
