Well, I mean't the in-game default tradelane speed is 990, unless I'm mistaken.

I really don't want to give people the ability to dumbfire an uber-torpeado, cause that would suck and make capship missions ultra-easy. There's got to be a way to restrict that. FOV would probably work, but I still don't like the dumbfire torpeado idea.

Doe's the ammo capacity depend on the ship, or the weapon? Cause if I wanted one weapon to have a capacity of 10 and another 40, that would kinda screw things up. I know reckoning was able to restrict capacity to 10 on most missles, but I don't know if that's weapon specific or not.

Btw, just textured the canopy of my hornet, it looks nice. I'll try to post it on my site later today. I've been kinda busy moving, so I haven't got to much done... I'm having a going away party today so I don't know If I'll get to it tonight or not.

nope there's no launcher specific limit on missiles the closest you could get to that is removing missiles from the bases' equipment markets completely and making people buy the launcher with the missiles in it and then changing how many free missiles come with the launcher. and if you want your uber torpedo hard to use scale it & its sur up 4x and slow it down a lot in the motor and launcher entries,then adjust its seeker_range so it won't work outside the capships weapons range.this will make your torpedo slow and easy to shoot down,if thats not enough then reduce its hitpoints

yeah, I could do that, but people could always buy more missles then what comes with the launcher. I Know for a fact that reckoning set the limit on most missles to 10, so there must be some way to do it.

and reducing the hitpoints of a ubertorpeado, kinda defeats the purpose of having a ubertorpeado, doesn't it? Oh well, Guess I'll just scrap that Idea.

Btw, It's gonna take forever for me to get anything done on this mod, I'm still texturing the first ship! Oh well, somewhere down the road I'll make some progress. :p

i have tryed that buy the starlancer ships are messed up and wont work but it would be kool to have a mod that has NPC's follo you around lol

sure i'd love to join up & help out with misc. ini work like systems / I'm a little busy with building a mod of my own right now but it doesn't include much in the way of systems work so that's mostly what i'll be able to help with,other things I'll be pretty busy with my own work like weapons,music,sound effects + i'm doing a little work for another unnamed mod ( ok so I'm really just a forum lurker over there,not really doing much for them at the moment )

gr8! I could use some help with systems. I'm starting in the vega sector. Only problem is there isn't much source material for what's in the systems. I guess we'll just have to be creative. Wing Commander C-in-C has the quadrant maps on their page, but no in-system maps exist as far as I know. I'll draw up some basic systems and we'll experiment with that.

If you have anytime to work on custom weapons, that would be gr8 also. I need a WC1 style Laser, Mass Driver, and Neutron Gun. Also I'd like to make some custom missles, and torpeados.

I'm trying to locate some materials on creating custom base interiors. I know I've seen some mods with that feature, so it must be possible. I'm also trying to design some custom costumes, but that's down the road until I get these ships finished.

Thx, for the praise on the hornet, I've scrapped the texture job and started over, the new one looks much better than the one on my site. I used decoys tutorial on darksabers site and nows it's starting to look really nice.

Anywho, I don't have x-fire I have Yahoo messenger, but I'll see if I can get it.

@coldvoid, do you think you can design me a test system, that we can start work in? Do you know how to clear out the existing FL systems and etc.? If so, I have the quad maps for vega sector, we could get started on some system design. If going back to work on my ship over the weekend, so It'll probably be a little farther along by mon. I'm just getting prepared for a move, so I've been a little behind on my work.
