negotiating mission pay

I have no idea if this is possible, but does anyone know if you can edit the game so that you can negotiate with the group you are working for to change your pay. I'm not talking about being offered a mission for 2000 credits and being able to raise that to 2500 credits. Instead, I'm talking about something like getting an option of equipment or money as pay for a mission.
For example, say that you are Level 2 and are offered a job from the Junkers for 3000 credits. However, you want to be able to buy their Class 4 guns, but you can't get those until you are Level 6(?). So, instead of just taking the job for 3000 credits, you get a choice: 3000 credits, or one of their guns (and maybe a few credits). This way, you could get guns that are too high a class to buy but low enough a class to be equipped onto your ship without having to kill lots of the faction in the hopes of looting a weapon but at the same time becoming their enemies.
Actually, now that i think about it, this idea might even work for ships for the higher-priced missions, in that instead of being offered just money or equipment, you could also be offered a ship. You could fly some of the Rheinland ships or VHF's (other than the Anubis) during the actual campaign (or in MP at lower levels) without lowering their restriction levels for everyone. Also, you could actually get the best equipment before the end of the campaign, when you will actually use it. Obviously, this would make the missions much easier, but if you wanted you could change the damage levels from 1 to 2.
I doubt that this can be done, but if it can, it might make the game a little more interesting, so if anyone knows how (or knows that it's impossible), please respond.
Thanks
