Clearing out a system of Ai

how do you Clear out a system of its Ai?

I am holding a tournament in Theta and everyone has different issues with the reps so I want to clear out the system so it will be fair to everyone.

Note: I only want to get rid of the ai in that system

Probably by opening EW04.ini and removing all entry that say Zone_Ew04_pop_... and Zone_Ew04_path_...

I don't know any easiest way.

Make sure you backup the file first.

ok m8 thanks I tried to delete the formations but that didn't work!

Don't delete the Formations <laughs thinking about the probable results>

Delete all of the Pop Zones and Patrols...

Don't do any of those, I hope you have a good text editor

If not, I personally use Context (google for it) - which is great for my uses.

Anyway, you will do a replaced (edit options, then R - or ctrl R) and type in the top field:

encounter =

And in the replace with field type in:

;encounter =


Then do the same, this time for:

Faction =

to become:

;Faction =


This is the fastest way to remove all encounters - the zones remain - they just have no populations in them.

Thanks Chips.. This text editor is way better than the optionless Notepad. Save lots of hard works ^_^
