How do you Make a new Fraction

Hi,
Me and my friend have started to make a new mod, we're not very good but we thought we would try, we have started but found ship making too hard on GMAX and so gave up on that and started with the systems using explorer but we want a new fraction added to the game, how do you do this??? or can you point me to a post about it, i cant find one and iv looked through my freelancer directory and cant find a part about fractions, can any1 help please?

Please look in the Tutorials Forum OR Use the search function... I think it's big enough to be seen...

Welcome to TLR spurs

A tutorial on adding factions is here. Hope you have good luck with it, modding Freelancer can be hard at first but eventually you'll get the hang of it and things will be alot easier

Also spurs, ignore devineman, he's, as we like to say, "special."

and how do you make the:
ids_name =
ids_info =
ids_short_name =
do you just choice a number at random or how do you get theses 3 numbers??? PLEASE HELP!

Calm down....

THe files you must change are descripted in the tutorials.
The IDS Name/Info are there to give a NAME and DESCRIPTION of your faction.
If you follow the IDS Tutorial that Devineman posted, you should be able to enter these numbers in.
RIght after this, they will appear in FLE.

It has been my experience that custom factions are nothing but trouble.
I'd avoid this
