Random Mission in a New System

Ok, I've read several topics and tutorials on this subject, but I stll cannot get random mission from a job board in my new system. (TY for all the great info BTW, I wouldn't have gotten this far without it.) I'm not even sure this encounter zone is working.

Note that the vignette zone lies entirely within the encounter zone. I read in one of the tutorials that they most at least overlap. I have the proper EncounterParameters at the top of the system.ini

I get a message from the job board that too many players are accessing it, or if I remove these lines from the mbases.ini

it just says "no jobs available come back later".

Its better to have lots of vinigrettes over lapping rather than just the one. The distance of the base to the zone as well is a factor. In the original game most systems have tradelanes which cuts down the distance, or has a very small size system. Could you also post the mbase entry?

Ok, here's the mbase entry you asked for Mace. It's rather long because I already have the NPC's in the base and I can get rumors from them. I even have the ship vendor, the commodities vendor and the equipment vendor all working properly. BTW, I saw that I had the faction entry wrong in my encounter zone just as I made my last post. I've fixed it and the encounter area is now working, but I still cannot get jobs from the board. I have 5 or 6 of these zones around the system, not just the one. All are the same except for location. I did plan on adding more, but thought this enough to see if I had them working properly.

I might be wrong but i`m nor sure about the vinigrette entry. Try changing this bit;

I made that change before and it didnt seem to make any difference.

I have, however gotten the job board to work since I made the post this morning. I've added quite a few vignette zones as well as path zones all around the system. and I reduced the number of missions to offer on the jobs board.

I believe my problem before was to many offers and not enough vignettes. As I said earlier, I am getting jobs, but they are all close to the planet. I believe that path zones may remedy this.

No probs, sorry I couldn`t find the solution. At least you`ve got it working even if it needs any fine tuning.
