Suggestions for The Liberty System Expansion Mod

Hi!
As the author of the LIberty System Expansion Mod, I'm interested in any new ideas for systems in or around the liberty sector (or other sectors). So please post your ideas and suggestion here! But please reasonable ideas and no strange or idiotic ideas! THX

Best ideas will be used immediatly!

I would like to see some systems that are totally different from the original...
As far as the scenery goes anyway.

Naturally all the regular goodies like Planets, Stations, Bases, Tradelanes and NPC's
I know that that is allot of work, especially the path files.

But I would like to see some really nice looking backgrounds...
and maybe throw in some cool looking lighting effects.

That's one of the things I like about Freelancer is exploring and the mesmerizing
effect of the scenery.

And a few surprises wouldn't hurt any either. Check the view off the left wing Martha!

The thing that liberty space needs the most is higher level dificulty regions. I`m doing a mod and have added 4 systems between colorado and cortez. They are more like borderworld regions which give the xenos, hackers, rogues and navy a chance to bring out some of their better ships. Capital ships are kept to a minimum, but rarely, a cruiser group would arrive and level the pirates. Difficulty from D7 to D10, so you get hawks, wolfhounds, stilettos and the maxed defender..

If you change the lower level NPCs to be a s hard as higher level ones, and set all NPCs to show up at any difficulty, you will get the full variety of diffculy in encounters everywhere, without any system editing!

One of the things I'd really like to see is a lot more usage of custom Bases. Building a Base with operating doors, etc., isn't too bad if most've the Base is a custom CMP put in a position to connect with a standard Base object that supported animated doors- for example, space_police01.cmp

Liberty would be much more interesting if there seemed to be neat things to visit just for their architectural value, not just another pretty background. And it'd be nice if things had some character most of FL's objects are terribly generic and plain looking, and make use of really boring tiled texturemaps.

I had an idea for a base that I looked at executing at one point, for example, which would be a Space Restaurant. I was planning on putting a Zone around it which played some sort've appropriate music, so that players would hear music as they got closer, and then use a combination of techniques to make the interior Rooms really interesting.

I guess my point is that what I'd like to see in a mod of this kind is NOT some lame attempt at a story, and not some uber-ship that's tucked away in the new systems as bait for players. Instead... if you're just going to do a very small number of Systems... take a lot've care, and build them into something truly interesting and unique, with a lot've interesting feeling to every object, instead of just another mod that pretends that assigning things name strings and descriptions in a DLL and doing a few colorful lights is enough to create an interesting world.

That are many interesting ideas, but as one modder it's difficult to realize! And to the little number of systems, I've to say that this is the beta 0.1 and a few new ideas are realized in this mod! For example the Xenos experiment in the Florida System or the spaceship graveyard (sorry if it is the incorrect term, i'm from Germany)!

hey in the next version could you fix the some of the trade lanes and jump gates and also whould you be able to make some of the info cards different and in more english?

Infocards in english? Ok, perhaps I will do it. It's lot of work to translate it all! Which Tradelanes and Jumpgates should be fixed and why?

Hey, just a few bugs to fix:

1. tradelane layout, but some peeps already said,
2. way gates appearing on the new system maps (some are missing and only appear when you zoom in)
3. uh dunno if anyone else had this problem but when you plot and path sometimes it crashes the server.
4. the Xeno's base "the eye" on the description is called a battleship?
5. no patrol paths in new systems
6. map layout - you goto the Floria system via the right hand side of the newyork system, yet the new system appears on the right hand side of the over all systems map.

thats about it for now, I'll keep an eye out
