I do not know the level of scripting that this game allows, I know Independence War 2: EOC had quite a bit of scripting available to mod designers... but
it would be nice to have a non-suicidal AI addon.. For example, all those missions where you go to kill or bring in some criminal, they should not attack you till they die, they should attempt to run once their lifebar is to a certain point. Perhapse this behavior could be varied according to faction, someone from Navy would be likely to die for the cause, but a Rogue, or any other type of a pirate should run when his life is in danger, you know?
This would mean that speed is of importance when killing them, cause they will try to go into cruise, and run off, it would also give more strategical use to cruise disruptors, and would just make the game more interesting. Now there can be a way to fail a mission even if you can outgun them...
If you could write that, would be nice. And if it works with other mega mods, like Evolutions 1.28, would be even nicer
Perhapse that would require same file modification, which would require different "flavors" of a mod, by including the prior-moded(by a mega mod) contect, and then the final addon to it, and activating this AI mod after the main mod.. but I think it would make the game much more real, and much more fun, and therefore be worth it
