I recall a game, can't remember which one, where they had a cloak, but you could still see an outline of the enemy, and a prismatic effect as it moved about.
If FL's was like that, I don't think it would be a problem.
The problem is...
People want to cloak, and then blast everything with impunity.
In singleplayer, by yourself, it could be done, but why?
Simply use "GOD" mode, and do the same thing.
In Multi-player, it's kinda cowardly, if ya ask me.
It smacks of all those cheats that hit the internet when multi-player first started.
And then, when the companies started trying to fix programs to stop cheaters...
The clanners began.
You know the ones...
They've played the game so friggin' much, they know the best setups, the best tactics, and they gang-bang anyone that doesn't join them.
They've ruined many an online game!
Cloaking is like that...
It's just another way for those cheatin' sob's to get an unfair advantage over everyone else.
Sure, it's nice to win.
But it's even nicer when it's a win you earned!
Which is why I don't play online.
To dang many cheaters, and clanners, who feel they have to win at any, and all costs!
But, I guess...
When you're a loser...
(In real life.)
You'll do anything to be a winner at something.
