Planet pop up

Hello,
Is there a way to set a planets "pop up distance"?
So that if you would turn left at the Manhattan Docking Ring you would not directly see Pittsburgh immediatly , but you would see it "popping up" when you get closer to it?

As far as im aware the solar bodies which do not have Lod info attached already have a pre-designated draw distance - on a system i am making which has a 550k length and width, the planets do dis-appear.
