I need some good ideas.

yes people i need a lot of ideas. this is for a mod that is all based around clans. but i dont what to make the mod boring for the people that join the sever that are not in a clan. so i need ideas for fun things that noobs and people that just what to play in a clan sever without joining a clan. and plez dont say more ships we have tones in the mod. i dont just what this to be fun for people that are not in a clan but also things clans can do or if one guy from a clan is on he/she can have fun without the rest of his clan. and any all around cool things to add.
the mod will include
clan systems that clans disine and use
clan ships costom ships that clans make for the mod
lots of extra ships and weps
systems that people must find after you find it you can buy it from the owner or if its not owned you can clam it as yours.
bases for people that sign up. (any one is elagable so if you what a base post your e mail)
more systems for battleing in. (battleground systems with no sever police of any kind.)
every clan gets its own faction to go with its system and beses.
more hiddin stuff that people will have to find.


as you can see the list is not all thatl long compared to other sever side mods. so plez tell me what you think sould be in the mod. and any one that whats to put there clan it it e mail me or post your e mail. any person that whats a base e mail me or post you e mail here and i will get back to you.

If I were making a clan-oriented mod... here'd be the things I'd put in:

1. Balance all of the ships/weapons/shields/etc for PvP combat, not against the AI. That way clanners who acted like ****s might just get vaped, if a skilled n00b showed up and they tried to pick a fight. It'd make everybody a lot more polite In short, dump the crappy "level" system from FL, and make the game more about playing skillz than about camping the server 24/7. I keep saying this to mod designers... but I seem to be the only one who's actually doing it, thus far...

IOW, do the opposite of Evolutions. Evo is a wonderful SP mod- I actually enjoyed winning SP again with Evo 1.28. But Evo would've been a disaster for MP, just like vanilla FL is- it's terribly boring when everybody is either a n00b who stays away from PvP combat because they'll always die... or yet another boring clan player in an Eagle for the millionth time. Make the different fighter classes a lot closer than they currently are in terms of HP, weapon capacity and shields, and it'd make being in a clan a lot more exciting- and there might be a point to all of the ships besides the Eagle (or whatever super-"1337" VHF is at the top of your food chain). In short... try *not* to create a balance where top players all use the same ship.

2. Build custom Missions that involve giant capships or other very challenging targets, where players have to band together to win them. And make the money worth it.

3. If you're going to mess with trade/commodities... keep it subtle. Putting an ultra-cheap Cardamine factory right next to NY is not subtle

4. If clanners can have Systems, then they should have some sort of custom Bases and custom paintjobs for their spacecraft- different MAT files with 10 min. of Photoshop and editing work could get this done...

well all the clans tha what it can have there own ship. its offered every time i posted it in the fourms. so costom paint jobs tend to go with the ship they send me. as for the ship reblaince. thats somthing wer considering. other things that we what to put in it is.
tokins.-trade theses things (will be a comodiey) to an admen and you can buy a system.
placeses that you can clam just by finding them.-only systems that are not on the nav map that we post on the sever web site can be clamed.
and other things but the bell just rang i have to go to class now.

Actually Argh, Evolutions is a MP mod. And it actually works great. Heres why:
1. There are many many ships, each with its own capabilities and stats
2. There are many different classes of ships
3. The ships are balanced enough so that each person does not have the one uber ship. Players play to their abilities not the ship.

These are just some basic things but there are a lot more. Chips has found a way to keep players coming back in Evolutions. Its a great mod.
